Chilly Dogs Sled Dog Trips and its experienced staff are committed to one thing: providing you with a fun and memorable dog sledding adventure in the beautiful northern border country of Ely, Minnesota. Our kennel is located just five miles from downtown Ely, where we have a private base of operations with bathroom facilities, private parking, and all the comforts of home. As your hosts, the Hway family will take good care of you. Our professional outfitting history in the BWCAW dates back to the late 1970s, so you can be sure that your experience—dog sledding on wilderness trails in the Superior National Forest—will be built upon our experience

Chilly Dogs has had the distinct privilege of helping thousands of people experience the exhilaration of a winter dog sled trip, many for the first time, and we are eager to offer this unique opportunity to you. We work in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service and hold a U.S.F.S. Guide Permit. The staff and guides at Chilly Dogs Sled Dog Trips have a wealth of knowledge about the natural environment and wilderness travel and safety.
