AUTUMN MUSHING TOURS

(limited availably October through mid-December, as conditions/staffing allow)

When running on sleds is not yet an option, the dogs would still love to show you their huge personalities and how passionate they are about their way of life! On this tour, you are joining us on what is referred to by mushers as a "training run", which is a pre-season run in the cooler fall temps that is geared towards conditioning the dogs for the coming winter sledding season.

This tour is approximately 1.5-2 hours long, depending on group/s size. Your visit includes a meet-and-greet with the Chilly Dogs’ sled dogs, a 30-minute ride in a Polaris Ranger pulled by a large team, and plenty of sled dog education where you can learn about their amazing lives and culture. After the run, join us for hot cocoa and refreshments and a fireside chat with one of our head guides. We also have a gift shop on site so you can take home a souvenir.

$120 per adult/teen 15+
$95 kids 6-14
$50 kids 5 and under

Autumn Tour Information:

  • We can typically accommodate up to 9 people per time slot, depending on the make-up of the group. We may combine smaller groups.
  • Long sleeves, full-length pants, and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended for your visit, as many of the sled dogs love to jump up to interact with and meet you and they do have claws and dirty paws.
  • We will run in the rain! Trips will not be canceled for rain, but please come dressed to get a little muddy with us. Our Rangers do have roofs, but a rain jacket is still a good idea if the forecast calls for rain/snow.
  • The safety of our dogs is our number one priority. In the case of abnormally high temperatures that could cause the dogs to overheat, we will reach out to either cancel your run or provide you a date/time alternative.
  • While our autumn tours are less physically demanding than winter dogsled mushing, there will still be some aspects that may be challenging for those with limited mobility. Please reach out with questions, and we will see what we can do to accommodate your group!.
