About Our Dog Sled Trips
Chilly Dogs Sled Dog Trips offers multiple dog sledding adventures. You can choose from an introductory Fun Ride, a one-hour Snowy Owl Run, a morning or afternoon Backcountry Loop trip, a Day Trip, or a one- or two-night Overnight Trek. Our trips are hands-on, meaning you will learn how to harness and hook-up the dogs; you may learn how to drive the team, riding on the runners; or you may prefer to just sit back in a padded, enclosed sled, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery while having the ride of your life.
Upon your arrival, we'll introduce you to the two- and four-legged staff. You will learn all about the Alaskan husky breed, as well as how we care for and train our dogs. Next, you will receive our thorough orientation and instruction on how to handle, and, if desired, drive your own team of dogs. Then prepare to harness and hook-up the teams and head out on the trail with your guide. No previous experience is necessary.
Depending on the make-up of your group, we typically run 2 people (one person driving) to a sled, sometimes 3, if children are participating. The running time of your trip is dependent upon trail conditions, the size of your group, and the weight in the sleds. Prices are all-inclusive, with the exception of tips for guides, which are optional, but appreciated.
We know "a picture is worth a thousand words," so remember to bring your camera to capture the scenery, wildlife, and trip highlights. You will find there are plenty of photo opportunities along the trail. In this way, you can bring a piece of the North Country back home with you!
Looking for a unique and unexpected surprise for a loved one, friend, employer, or other? A Chilly Dogs Gift Certificate, which can be applied to any of our trips, services, or retail items, is always available. We will gladly create a personalized Gift Certificate for you upon your request.
